Continuing a strong tradition of community involvement, GBI has contributed to social and educational programs, especially in northern Israel where our manufacturing plant is located. 

Many of our employees generously donate their time and effort to both GBI initiatives as well as for personal causes they hold dear.

Activities Supporting Biotechnology Education

In Israel, GBI is the sole biotechnological producer on an industrial scale. GBI encourages students to choose a career in biotechnology and helps them start their own practice. 

GBI hosts visits and conferences at the plant to high school and other academia students.

Together with biotechnology-focused schools, GBI hosts guided tours of the plant where students receive a comprehensive theoretical background regarding the biochemical process as well as presentations on how such theories are practiced on the production line.

We have established a special relationship with OrtBraudeCollege, situated in Carmiel in the Galilee region in the Northern part of the country. GBI contributed practical experience to the college and helped develop its biotechnology program.

 Graduate students can perform their Practical Stage, a part of their graduation requirement, in GBI's R&D laboratories or on the production line.

GBI currently employs several graduates of OrtBraudeCollege who hold key positions within the R&D and Production departments of the company.
