1964           Plant commenced activity (100% citric acid production).

1964-81      Owned and operated by - Miles Israel Ltd. (A subsidiary of Miles Labs. USA).

1982           Gadot Petrochemical Industries (GPI) acquires the plant from Miles Labs. 
                  Rename it Gadot Biochemical Division.

 

1988           Clal Trading and Delek acquire majority stake in GPI.


1991           GBI announces development of sodium citrate plant.


1994           The Petrochemical Division sold to Oil Refineries.

                  Company renamed: Gadot Biochemical Industries Ltd. (GBI).


1996           GBI announces development of enrichment minerals plant.
 

1999           Delek acquires majority share of GBI.


2002           GBI announces development of its crystalline fructose plant.
 

2005           GBI is traded on TASE.

 

2006           GBI announces TALGAM - A joint venture with Tate & Lyle for the purification of raw sugar.

 

2007           GBI announces acquisition of Pharmline Inc.

                  GBI announces Gadot Biochemical (China) Corp. - A joint venture for the production of citric acid and sodium citrate in China.
