Gadot Biochemical Industries (GBI) is committed to implement the global
Responsible Care program.
The policy principles described below reflect GBI’s policy with regard to integrated aspects of environment, safety, hygiene, security and society, as these occur within the global chemical industry milieu under the unique and prestigious “Responsible Care” program.
Following are the Responsible Care policy’s principles as pertains to GBI:
· Driving GBI onwards to optimal results and a leading global position
in food ingredients production, without compromising ethics,
environmental quality, safety, product quality, security or contributions
to the community.
· Continuous improvement that can be quantified by means of
measurement indices prevalent among the fields of environmental
quality, safety, hygiene, product quality and security, while integrating
between extant management systems.
· Involvement of GBI’s employees in all relevant aspects of Responsible
Care. and sharing attitude.
· Leading research, development, design, production and distribution
processes while minimizing their environmental impact and reducing
as much as possible the consumption of perishable natural resources.
· Adherence to all relevant laws and regulations, and embedding of
international standards, guiding documents and the most up-to-date
professionalism into the fields of environmental quality, safety,
hygiene and security.
· Business management based on the belief that work accidents which
may potentially involve casualties are preventable.
· Education for security-oriented behavior throughout all company strata
while managing procedural safety aspects in an optimal manner.
· Manifestation of leadership in order to ensure that company and
contractor employees understand their roles and responsibilities, and
that they have been properly trained and instructed on how to integrate
Responsible Care principles in their work.
· Identification and treatment of various issues by means of a risk
management attitude that is the most optimal available.
· Understanding of the effects our products have throughout their life
cycle upon the fields of environmental quality, safety, hygiene and
security, while providing information and professional support to our
customers.
· Cooperation with authorities, research and industry institutions in order
to support researches and assessments concerning environmental
quality, safety, hygiene and security, and also in formalizing standards,
regulations and laws in these fields.
· Definition of fields of responsibility for the company managers with
regard to Responsible Care management, and allocation of resources
sufficient to carry out these responsibilities.
